The Adventures of Blake and Mortimer

Olrik returns and the action moves to Venice in the all-new 5 inked strips from The Will of William S.

Details from The Will of William S., the upcoming Blake & Mortimer adventure by the expert team of Yves Sente (script) and André Juillard (drawings), don't cease to arrive and open new, puzzling questions on what will be the 24th album of the series, out fall 2016. Yves Schlirf published yesterday in his Twitter account new, recently inked strips from the album, which contain two important reveals: Olrik will take part in the plot, although he will start out in jail (the way he ended up in the chronologically previous adventure, The Gondwana Shrine) and the action will, around page 16 (its last strip is amongst those published by Schlirf), take place in Venice (actually, this panel and page 9 already suggested several sequences would take place in Italy). Graphically-wise, Juillard's Venetian backgrounds are really worth admiring... as is also this magnificent dedication drawn by the artist in the luxe edition of The Staff of Plutarch, revealed a few days ago. Judge for yourselves:

These scenes in Venice reminds me... some of Axel Borg appearances in the same city, in the Lefranc drawn by Jacques Martin... Strange choice...
