The Adventures of Blake and Mortimer

New original strips from The Staff of Plutarch, firstly featuring Olrik!

Yves Schlirf has just published though his Twitter account several photographs featuring new original semi-inked strips from The Staff of Plutarch, the new Blake and Mortimer album signed by Sente and Juillard coming in December. In them, we can finally meet Olrik, pointing a gun on someone who appears to be a black or Asian man, and Blake and Mortimer together, apparently thinking about something important or at least worrying. We can also see another black or Asian man (or maybe the same one who is discussing with Olrik) secretly entering somewhere. What is he looking for? We will have to wait for Le Soir's texted version of the panel to know... Another important fact revealed in these images is that Juillard is about to reach page 40 of the story, which, assuming the album will have aroung 50 pages, means he is keeping a good drawing pace. As nearly only the characters are inked, it seems logical Étienne Schréder is the one encharged of the background inking, which until now hasn't seemed to affect Juillard's drawing quality. You can check out all the photographs below:

The new art looks good! I'm hoping it will be more consistent than The Septimus Wave.

I hope so too, it seems at least that for the 40 first pages, the quality is great. If it keeps being like that until the end, it will be a great album... Stay tuned, there will be some more news on this album comming soon...
